Want a seat at our table? Ziosk is looking for a highly experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) that is responsible for establishing the company's technology vision, strategies, and plans for growth. They oversee the development and optimization of the technological infrastructure, ensure that technology operations align with the company's objectives, and guide the company's innovation in adopting new technologies. The CTO works closely with other C-level executives and leadership team to ensure that technology solutions support both short- and long-term business goals.
The Main Course – Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy & Leadership:
Develop and implement a company-wide technology strategy in alignment with business goals.
Engage with partners and suppliers on strategic initiatives
Drive innovation and ensure the company's technology is leading-edge, scalable, and secure.
Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms (including device, web and mobile platforms, databases, and cloud services) for delivering the company's services.
Establish strategic technology partnerships to support business objectives.
- Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop the IT and engineering teams.
Oversee technology-related recruitment and team development.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the technology team.
Promote continuous learning and professional development within the technology team. Encourage team members to stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies and provide opportunities for skill development and career growth.
- Product Development:
Oversee the planning, development, and execution of new software and product development.
Ensure that all technology initiatives are in line with business strategy and customer needs.
Work closely with Product and Operations teams to deliver scalable and reliable technology solutions.
Ensure that technology initiatives are designed to enhance customer experience and satisfaction. Focus on developing solutions that meet customer needs and provide a seamless user experience.
- Operational Oversight:
Ensure that all systems and technology operations are robust, secure, and scalable.
Implement and enforce technology policies, governance, and cybersecurity measures.
Monitor KPIs to assess technological performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate with the CEO and other executives to define business and market strategies.
Provide technology-related advice and updates to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders.
Work with other departments to prioritize technology investments and initiatives.
Work closely with marketing, sales, and client services to align technology with overall business strategies.
Ensure that technology initiatives support the goals of other departments and contribute to the company's success.
- Innovation & Trends:
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies.
Identify opportunities for technological improvements which can increase revenue, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
What You Bring To The Table – Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field . MBA or Master’s degree is preferred
- Experience:
10-15 years of experience in technology leadership roles, preferably in a senior management or C-level role.
Proven experience in leading large-scale technology teams and projects.
Strong experience with software development, system architecture, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
Experience working in fintech, restaurant or hospitality industries, preferred not required.
- Skills:
Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology with business strategy.
Proficiency in software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
Recent CTO or VP Engineering role, familiar with React Native, Databricks, C++, POS Loyalty and Payment Processors
Experience with scaling technology teams in a fast-growing Saas company.
Knowledge of AI, machine learning, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
Strong network within the tech community to facilitate partnerships and recruitment.
