We are seeking an experienced and strategic Technology Director to Head our Lifecycle Management team to lead our Infrastructure Lifecycle Management program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of our IT assets, from procurement and deployment to decommissioning and disposal. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. The Lifecycle Management Director will oversee a team of 20 direct reports and will be instrumental in driving key strategic initiatives, including the migration from PowerFlex to PowerMax storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive lifecycle management strategy for all IT infrastructure assets across the bank.
  • Lead and manage large-scale infrastructure migration projects, including the transition from PowerFlex to PowerMax storage systems.
  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures for asset tracking, inventory management, and end-of-life (EOL) processes.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align lifecycle management activities with business goals and technology roadmaps.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 20 direct reports, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring that all team members are aligned with the program's objectives.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide regular feedback to support the professional development of your team.

Operational Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the lifecycle management program, ensuring that all processes are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Liaise with vendors and engineering teams to stay informed about product roadmaps, EOL announcements, and support contracts.
  • Manage the budget for hardware and software refreshes, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to asset lifecycle, migration progress, and team performance.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with EOL hardware and software, ensuring the security and stability of our systems.
  • Ensure that all lifecycle management activities comply with industry regulations and internal policies.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience
  • 7+ years experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on lifecycle management.
  • 7+ years experience in managing large-scale infrastructure migration projects.
  • 5+ years experience with storage technologies, specifically Dell PowerFlex and PowerMax.
  • 5+ years experience with financial acumen and experience with budget management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role with a proven track record of managing and developing a team of direct reports.
  • Experience track and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to asset lifecycle, migration progress, and team performance.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in the financial services industry.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL and IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, and data centers.
  • Strong project and program management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
