About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a proven leader to manage the Digital High Net Worth (DHNW) advisory team within Digital & Direct Investments, a key client channel in Wealth and Investment Management (WIM).

The DHNW team is responsible for delivering an industry‑leading digital and advisor‑led experience to Wells Trade’s most valued high net worth clients, combining personalized financial guidance with scalable digital solutions. This role focuses on deepening client relationships by connecting clients to the full range of Wells Fargo investment products, planning capabilities, banking solutions, and wealth management services to support their evolving financial needs. The ideal leader will bring expertise in high net worth client engagement, digital advice platforms, advisor leadership, and client experience strategy to drive growth and retention within the digital wealth channel.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and develop Financial Relationship Advisory team
  • Assess current financial portfolio and recommend changes
  • Identify and recommend opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development
  • Develop and execute team business plan, productivity, leadership, individual development, skill development, action planning and objective setting
  • Lead the Financial Relationship Advisory team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet high risk deliverables
  • Lead team by making strategic decisions for driving results related to productivity, new accounts, asset growth
  • Leverage interpretation of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including senior leadership
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Financial Relationship Advisory
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Financial Relationship Advisory experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience
  • US only: Successfully completed Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) examinations (or FINRA recognized equivalents) sufficient to qualify for immediate FINRA registration

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing call‑center–based Financial Advisors in a high‑volume, client‑facing environment, with accountability for productivity, quality, and client outcomes.
  • Proven background in digital, phone‑based, or contact‑center wealth management models, supporting mass affluent or high‑net‑worth clients through portfolio reviews, financial recommendations, and account growth.
  • Strong working knowledge of investment portfolios and financial planning concepts, with the ability to assess client needs, recommend portfolio changes, and guide advisors in delivering compliant, client‑appropriate advice at scale.
  • Experience driving business results in an advisory center environment, including new account acquisition, asset growth, client retention, and advisor productivity through data‑driven performance management.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing team business plans, including workforce planning, KPI management, coaching programs, and individual development plans for advisors working in a call‑center setting.
  • Advanced ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., suitability, risk controls, supervisory processes) within a centralized advisory model.
  • Track record of leading through complexity and risk, making sound, timely decisions to resolve escalations, client issues, and operational challenges in a fast‑paced advisory environment.
  • Experience partnering cross‑functionally with compliance, risk, operations, product, and senior leadership to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance the advisor and client experience.
  • Strong people‑leadership and talent‑development orientation, with experience building a coaching culture that emphasizes skill development, leadership readiness, and internal mobility within advisory teams.

Job Expectations:

  • US only: Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate FINRA license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. FINRA Series 9 and 10 examinations, or equivalent must be completed within either a 90 or 180-day time period following commencement of employment, depending upon the number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required
  • This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire. In accordance with FINRA rules, individuals who are subject to statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA-registered broker-dealer. Successful candidates must also meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents.
