About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced leader to manage the Growth team of financial advisors within Digital & Direct Investments, a key client channel in Wealth and Investment Management (WIM).

This leadership role focuses on delivering an industry‑leading digital wealth management client experience for both new and existing Wells Fargo clients, while driving growth through relationship development and advice engagement. The Growth team is responsible for connecting clients to the full suite of Wells Fargo investment products, financial planning solutions, and banking services, helping clients meet a wide range of financial needs. The ideal leader will combine advisor leadership, client experience strategy, and digital investing expertise to support scalable growth across the Direct‑to‑Client platform.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and develop Financial Relationship Advisory team
  • Assess current financial portfolio and recommend changes
  • Identify and recommend opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development
  • Develop and execute team business plan, productivity, leadership, individual development, skill development, action planning and objective setting
  • Lead the Financial Relationship Advisory team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet high risk deliverables
  • Lead team by making strategic decisions for driving results related to productivity, new accounts, asset growth
  • Leverage interpretation of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including senior leadership
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Financial Relationship Advisory
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Financial Relationship Advisory experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience
  • US only: Successfully completed Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) examinations (or FINRA recognized equivalents) sufficient to qualify for immediate FINRA registration

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven leader of financial advisors within a digital, direct‑to‑client, or centralized wealth management environment, with demonstrated success driving growth through advice engagement, relationship expansion, and client acquisition.
  • Strong background in wealth management and investment advisory, with the ability to assess client financial portfolios, guide strategic recommendations, and coach advisors to deepen relationships and uncover growth opportunities in a compliant manner.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable growth outcomes, including new account acquisition, asset inflows, wallet‑share expansion, and increased advisor productivity within a scalable advisory platform.
  • Experience developing and executing growth‑oriented business plans, aligning productivity targets, client segmentation, capacity planning, and performance metrics to achieve sustained growth across advisor teams.
  • Ability to lead through complexity and risk while maintaining growth momentum, making sound strategic decisions to resolve escalations, manage high‑risk deliverables, and support advisors in complex client situations.
  • Strong understanding of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements applicable to digital wealth management, with the ability to balance growth objectives with effective risk management and control discipline.
  • Demonstrated capability to identify and implement process improvements that enhance advisor efficiency, improve client experience, and support scalable growth within a regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and influence senior leadership and cross‑functional partners (risk, compliance, product, operations, technology) to advance growth initiatives and client experience strategies.
  • Experience managing people and financial resources to ensure staffing, budgets, and priorities are aligned with growth goals and strategic objectives of the Financial Relationship Advisory organization.
  • Strong talent‑development mindset, with experience building a coaching‑driven culture that develops advisors’ consultative, growth, and relationship‑management skills to support long‑term business objectives.

Job Expectations:

  • US only: Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate FINRA license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. FINRA Series 9 and 10 examinations, or equivalent must be completed within either a 90 or 180-day time period following commencement of employment, depending upon the number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required
  • This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire. In accordance with FINRA rules, individuals who are subject to statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA-registered broker-dealer. Successful candidates must also meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents.
  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities and/or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired.
