About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead moderately complex initiatives, contribute to large‑scale technical planning, and deliver high‑quality software solutions. This role involves hands‑on development, technical leadership, and close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to meet business and client needs in an Agile environment.
In This Role, You Will
Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large‑scale planning and technology strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document applications, including upgrades and deployments
Review and resolve moderately complex technical challenges requiring in‑depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Lead project delivery and act as an escalation point, providing guidance to less experienced staff
Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and mid‑level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Ensure solutions align with organizational policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications
4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
4+ years of hands‑on experience with: Java, J2EE, Object‑Oriented development. Spring Boot and microservices architecture
2+ years of UI development experience with React and JavaScript
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience
Experience working in a combined onsite/offshore delivery model
Exposure to cloud technologies and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Hands‑on experience building or integrating event‑based services using technologies such as Kafka
Experience with event‑driven architecture and domain‑driven design
Ability to prepare detailed technical and solution design documentation
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Expectations
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
This position offers a hybrid work schedule
