The WIM Mortgage Team partners with Wells Fargo Home Lending (WFHL) to provide Residential Mortgage Products for our Wealth Clients. WIM Mortgage is seeking an Escalation Manager who will work closely with senior leadership, National Sales and financial advisors in each region, bringing the expertise required to navigate the full mortgage lifecycle—from origination through underwriting, closing, and funding - on behalf of our clients. The individual should have a strong knowledge of Wealth Management and Mortgage Operations including Processing, Closing/Funding and Underwriting in a large, complex financial organization. The individual should possess a strong knowledge of consumer credit lending to HNW clients and have proven expertise evaluating cash flow and balance sheet profiles of individuals and have the ability to clearly communicate loan status, key risks, and ideate potential paths forward to senior leadership.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the primary contact for advisors to review, analyze, and evaluate complex challenges related to multi-faceted, larger scale high-net-worth mortgage loans structures, existing portfolio issues, and complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangible or unprecedented factors, present recommendations for resolution
- Deepen and broaden advisor relationships, ultimately enabling growth through the value of an improved advisor experience
- Partner closely with Home Lending to manage a pipeline of WIM-referred loans to ensure loans meet their milestones and progress throughout the lifecycle
- Make strategic recommendations & decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet higher risk deliverables
- Understanding the borrower's credit needs, financial objectives, evaluating business and personal financial information
- Support growth in our target client segments across all products and services in WIM by expanding and retaining existing advisor relationships
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement
- Exhibit leadership skills by doing what is right, doing it well, and leading with an enterprise mindset
- Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including most experienced leadership
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Wealth business leadership and mortgage underwriting experience in a large, complex financial organization strongly preferred with demonstrated ability as a thought leader in mortgage strategy, underwriting, and business initiative execution for High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High Net Worth (UHNW) segments for
- Deep Mortgage Experience in a leadership capacity
- Experience navigating a Loan Origination System to determine the status of a loan
- Strong background in credit risk and mortgage operations, and in effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams including home lending, legal, compliance, finance and risk
- Custom commercial and consumer credit experience
- Strong knowledge of Mortgage Regulations
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
