About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join the Commercial Banking (CB) Division of the Wells Fargo Legal Department. CB Legal provides legal advice to the Company's commercial lending businesses across Commercial Banking and treasury management activities, including payments and commercial card businesses. In addition, CB Legal also advises on the bankruptcy and workout aspects of Wells Fargo Bank's commercial lending businesses.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide support to a specialized practice or functional area within the Legal Department requiring a high degree of analytical, written and oral communication and organizational skills
  • Produce clear and concise written materials that can be submitted to the client with minimal revision or review by an attorney
  • Research and resolve issues and matters which may involve substantial legal or factual complexity, through detailed research and examination of documentation and factual investigation
  • Work directly with business clients and develop an understanding of business unit needs and develop plans to resolve issues
  • Develop relationships with business units and proactively participate in strategic efforts of client while identifying and addressing issues
  • Identify specific as well as broad underlying issues in area of expertise and work independently on very complex assignments without direct supervision
  • Develop and lead a team to meet assignment, resolution plan and or client needs and negotiates adjustments to plan as needed
  • Resolve moderately complex issues within the Legal Department
  • Coordinate with attorneys on special requests or highly complex projects
  • Develop relationships with business units and be proactive in participating in strategic efforts of client while identifying and addressing issues


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Paralegal experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in law firm or in-house legal department
  • Previous experience conducting legal research
  • Previous experience drafting legal documentation
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

Job Expectations:

  • Paralegal certification may be required in some states

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$37.02 - $63.94
