Wells Fargo is seeking a Merchant Call Center Sales Specialist to join our Merchant Services team within Consumer Lending. In this role, you will help business customers adopt modern, secure payment‑processing solutions that enable them to grow and operate efficiently.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver a full suite of electronic payment processing solutions, including Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems, ecommerce gateways, and mobile payment tools.
  • Engage prospective customers using pre‑qualified, pre‑established inbound leads from multiple channels.
  • Assess business needs and create customized merchant services proposals that align with their payment acceptance and security requirements.
  • Provide education on processing compliance, fraud prevention, and secure payments.
  • Manage the customer relationship from initial conversation through application, onboarding, and activation.
  • Partner across Wells Fargo, including Merchant Services teams and lines of business, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Offer telephone support to customers and prospects contacting the Merchant Services Call Center.
  • Assist with account setup across multiple front‑end and back‑end platforms for a variety of industries.
  • Navigate multiple systems and tools to resolve inquiries related to interchange, funding, billing, and general electronic payments operations.
  • Support all inbound customer and prospect calls while meeting defined sales metrics and service expectations.

Training & Development:

We provide a structured, comprehensive training program that includes:

  • 3 weeks of classroom training
  • On‑the‑job learning
  • Side‑by‑side mentorship
    Training hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST. Attendance is required for the full training period.


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Merchant Services or Contact Center Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in call center sales, financial services, or product/service‑based sales
  • Call center, Merchant Services or payments industry experience
  • Outbound or pipeline management experience
  • Bilingual skills
  • Experience supporting inbound customer service calls
  • Knowledge of financial document processing, regulatory disclosures, and compliance
  • Strong problem‑solving and needs‑assessment skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency navigating multiple systems, CRM tools and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to meet production goals, sales targets, deadlines, and KPIs


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM CST, Monday–Friday
  • Hybrid schedule: Remote Monday & Friday; In‑office Tuesday–Thursday
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
