About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Executive to lead strategy and execution of advanced analytics and reporting for Wholesale Operations and other horizontal capabilities. This role drives operational efficiency and transformation through AI/ML, manages a high-performing team, and partners with senior leaders to deliver innovative data solutions in a regulated financial environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide vision and set direction for multiple high impact initiatives, analytics and reporting to achieve long-term strategic objectives in our Wholesale Operations functions: Investment Banking and Markets, Commercial Banking and Lending; and Wealth and Investment Management
  • Lead the development of reporting capabilities for horizontal functions in Global Operations (e.g. location strategy, access management, resiliency and incident management)
  • Develop highly complex, multi-year strategy, modeling, forecasting and process improvements
  • Provide thought leadership to develop and implement strategic solutions to highly complex and potentially companywide processes
  • Utilize data and analytics to improve business outcomes, efficiency and Customer Experience
  • Support the development of the AI use case pipeline, including the launch of Agentic AI solutions
  • Drive the implementation of data management policies and procedures across Wholesale Operations (e.g. data defect identification, prioritization of regulatory reporting use cases)
  • Lead a team of consultants, senior leads, and managers
  • Develop process improvements from data that drives business decisions
  • Collaborate with and influence team, peers, managers, senior management, technology, risk and compliance. Participate in strategic discussions as part of the extended leadership team for Wholesale Operations
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Data, Analytics and Reporting
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling or Statistics experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Management experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of at least two areas in wholesale operations (Investment Banking and Markets, Commercial Banking and Lending; and Wealth and Investment Management)
  • Experience managing international teams, spanning multiple locations and time zones
  • Deep experience working with complex data in multiple data systems/fields and LOBs, responding to ad-hoc data requests from key external stakeholders, data science background, forensic analytics, and strong ability for to identify data root cause issues with the ability to create immediate solutions
  • Proven experience operating a high functioning team (e.g. developing/overseeing sustainable practices and procedures, detailed and accurate documentation procedures and repeatability standards, enforcing accountability for high quality work among a large number of analysts)
  • Experience in a large, complex financial services firm. Experience and understanding of financial services industry regulation related to data and analytics, and leveraging analytics to execute operations controls and quality assurance
  • Proven ability to proactively solve problems and develop strategic recommendations with objective rationale
  • Superior analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • Ability to facilitate large cross-functional meetings and negotiating priorities, solutions, outcomes


Job Expectations:

  • Travel as needed

The Analytics Executive reports to the Head Data, Analytics and Reporting for Global Operations and is focused on using advanced analytics including AI/ML to identify and solve business problems across Operations to drive efficiency, client delight, risk reduction and innovation. The ideal candidate will have proven track record in applying advanced analytics and data products in a financial services/regulated industry, preferably in at least two of the wholesale lines of business.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$250,000.00 - $420,000.00
