Our Commercial Banking Operations division supports the financial needs of businesses by ensuring the accurate, compliant, and timely execution of core lending and treasury activities across the Commercial Banking lifecycle. The team underpins business lines such as Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions, delivering operational rigor that supports lending, cash‑management, and specialized industry solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a variety of servicing activities for moderately complex commercial products, including coordinating all aspects to ensure customer resolution

  • Evaluate and upload data into the systems of record to ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

  • Coordinate all aspects of resolving open customer service issues; interact with internal and external customers

  • Serve as primary liaison and work collaboratively with Sales, Legal, Control and Risk, Technology, and various Operations and company teams as necessary to progress customer-focused needs

  • Review and negotiate moderately complex loan servicing transactions, evaluate risks, and devise strategies to mitigate risks and identify procedural modifications

  • Serve as an escalation point in the resolution of client issues

  • Conduct quality reviews and monitor key performance metrics as related to efficiencies and effective processes

  • Identify activities of the team to ensure conformity with established procedures

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • May lead projects, teams, or serve as a mentor for lower-level staff; may contribute to strategic initiatives

  • Independently resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

  • Apprentices within the U.S. Department of Labor accredited Apprenticeship program perform a variety of structured duties, including a combination of (however, not limited to) on-the-job training, coursework and mentorship, under the supervision of a hiring manager, program manager and a mentor. Apprenticeships are designed to assist in the professional development of an apprentice, in preparation for the post-apprenticeship role. Program Managers will facilitate an apprentice’s required path for professional development. This ensures an apprentice will have gained the proficiency and obtained the required experience of a fully functioning post-program role

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Commercial Loan Servicing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Military experience in any branch of service: Army, National Guard, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard or Reserves

  • Proficient experience supporting Operational Risk, Technology Risk, or Compliance monitoring activities

  • Sound analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

  • Solid working knowledge of Excel, including data import/export and basic data manipulation

  • Clear, professional communication across verbal, written, and interpersonal interactions

  • Comfortable navigating multiple systems and using search tools to validate information

  • Proven collaboration skills with teams and stakeholders at various organizational levels.

  • Self‑directed, proactive work style with sound judgment and independence

  • Experience spotting process improvement opportunities and contributing meaningful recommendations

Job Expectations:

  • Enrollment into Wells Fargo’s DOL Registered Apprentice Program is required. Apprentices are considered full-time employees within the program. As such, Apprentices are expected to not only uphold and adhere to Wells Fargo and the Apprenticeship Program, but also expected to follow Wells Fargo's prescribed policies, procedures, and employee expectations.
