Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Financial Crimes Officer to join the Financial Crimes Analytics, Monitoring and Surveillance team within

The Senior FCAMS Leader is a key leadership position responsible for enabling decision-making and operational success across a multidisciplinary team. This role is strategically important to the organization’s ability to manage financial crimes risk, model risk, data quality risk, and technology risk, ensuring robust governance and effective controls. The role will serve as a trusted advisor to team leadership, facilitate communication with regulators and senior stakeholders, and drive initiatives that enhance technical team performance and risk management capabilities.
In this role, you will:
Partner with leadership teams to define and execute the team’s strategic priorities, resource allocation, and project delivery.
Prepare, present, and represent technical materials to regulators, executive management, and board-level audiences. Ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance in all external and internal communications.
Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of governance frameworks, controls, and documentation. Ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices in managing financial crimes risk, model risk, data quality risk, and technology risk.
Lead efforts to attract, develop, and retain top talent while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
Coordinate cross-functional projects, track progress against key milestones, and proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact delivery or risk posture.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Fraud, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery, Corruption experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
Strong project management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience designing and implementing governance frameworks, risk controls, and technical documentation for financial institutions.
Understanding of data analytics, financial modeling, and business intelligence tools and methodologies.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to represent technical material to regulators and senior audiences.
Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate challenges and proactively develop solutions.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across technical and business domains.
