About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Strategic Business Execution Director - Risk Assessable Unit Leader within Consumer, Small and Business Banking (CSBB) as we optimize our branch operating model, strengthen operational excellence, and align with Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) policy requirements. As a Strategic Business Execution Director and RAU Owner for the National Branch Growth and Enablement team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our national branch network. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong enterprise view and the ability to execute strategic initiatives effectively. This leader will be responsible for driving strategic thinking and ensuring alignment with our long-term goals. This leader will be responsible for management of RAU activities specific to branch banking focused on deposit and credit originations and onboarding. Risk Assessable Unit (RAU) Owners are accountable for developing a culture of proactive accountability while demonstrating ownership of business risk decisions for all stages of the RAU's RCSA lifecycle. They affirm that their RCSA accurately reflects risk exposure and control effectiveness. In addition, RAU Owners identify trigger events and perform off-cycle RCSA reviews. This includes responsibility for RCSA execution, control and process optimization, issue management, audit engagements, as well as direct and indirect management of Process Owners.
Strategic Business Execution Director - Risk Assessable Unit Owner RAU should be able to:
Communicate powerfully and prolifically to senior and executive leaders and simplify the complex.
Develop clear, concise, and visually compelling executive-level presentations that synthesize complex information into strategic insights.
Interpret complex data and translate insights into clear, compelling visual stories that drive strategic decision-making
Influence without direct authority, create and manage (while achieving results) large-scale change and influence people at all levels of the organization.
Build and maintain strong credible relationships with key stakeholder groups including executive management, regulatory examiners, and internal auditors.
Demonstrate an understanding of our risk and controls within processes to drive a consistent and effective approach to identifying risks.
Facilitate risk and control assessments of sufficient quality to understand and manage exposure to regulatory, compliance, operational, reputational, and customer experience risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership - Develop and implement strategic plans that align with CSBB’s vision and goals for the National Branch Network. Provide leadership in strategic thinking and enterprise-wide initiatives.
Enterprise View – Foster an enterprise wide perspective, ensuring all departments and functions are aligned with the overall strategic objectives of the organization.
Strategic Execution – Oversee the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring they are implemented effectively and deliver the desired outcomes.
Innovation and Growth – Drive innovation and growth by identifying new opportunities and leveraging strategic insights to enhance competitive position.
Stakeholder Engagement – Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including field and executive leadership, and partners.
Performance Management – Establish performance metrics and monitor progress towards strategic goals, making adjustments as necessary to ensure success.
Manage and Develop multiple business functional areas with focus on implementing and delivering long-term strategies, policies, and process advancements for cross-functional stakeholders, and internal and external partners associated with the area of Business Execution or who are affected by its outcomes
Identify Business Execution opportunities and strategies for process improvement, optimization and risk control development over the long-term in order to ensure operational excellence and process efficiency
Lead Business Execution team for assigned initiatives ensuring solutions are designed, integrated, and controlled to improve effectiveness, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
Interpret and develop a range of policies and procedures for long-range and fundamental retooling of perspective, approach, culture, quality, relationships, operations, and capabilities
Collaborate and influence functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo strategies or policies and business line objectives
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Execution
Partner extensively with groups from National Branch Network, National Branch Growth & Enablement, technology, senior management, control, issue management, marketing, legal, risk and compliance.
Lead risk remediation efforts involving the RAU processes and behaviors resulting from identification of issues by legal, risk, and control partners including projects, changes and necessary executive read outs.
Manage and support process owners in operational excellence, issue management, and process improvement.
Engage in complaint/escalation work when and where needed
Participate in audit and testing reviews with team for assigned processes from emerging risk to validation and closure.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management or leadership experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
Experience managing processes, risks, controls, risk assessments, RCSA, and legal and compliance requirements
Enterprise experience in banking or financial services, branch banking experience preferred
Experience in an executive leadership role with a focus on strategic planning and execution
Experience in driving innovation and growth within a complex organization
Experience driving cross functional initiatives that drive organizational alignment
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data into insights
Ability to manage change and operate independently and collaboratively
Job Expectations:
This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00Benefits
