About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Operational Risk Senior Manager to lead a risk type team covering business and operational resilience, safety and physical security and certain product risks across the enterprise. The leader will own the Enterprise Business Resiliency policy and oversee its implementation and maintenance. They will manage a team that develops enterprise insights and performs other horizontal risk subject matter expert duties. They will also be available to consult with partners such as Operational Risk Business Officers or front-line control as needed.
In this role, you will:
Manage and develop an Operational Risk team of individual contributors in roles with moderate complexity and risk
Manage the development, implementation, and monitoring of a risk-based program for multiple Risk Type Teams with moderate to high risk to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risk that arises from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems, or external events
Maintain a balance between risk mitigation and operational efficiency
Establish and assure execution of operational risk programs companywide with considerable risk and multiple regulatory environments
Provide operational risk expertise and consulting to complex business units for initiatives with high risk, spanning multiple business lines
Consult with and influence executive leadership, operational risk, and business management to identify, formulate, and implement operational risk policies, procedures, and controls
Ensure reporting, escalation, and remediation of issues, deficiencies, or regulatory matters regarding operational risk to leaders, committees, and appropriate business management
Lead initiatives that cross multiple lines of business in scope with significant impact and risk
Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced leaders
Lead team to achieve objectives
Manage communication and collaboration with business heads, Legal, Audit, and regulators on risk related topics
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operational Risk
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
6+ years of Operational Risk experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
At least 6 years of operational risk experience in the banking industry
Deep understanding of Enterprise Business Resiliency, Corporate Security, or Corporate Properties
Experience building and managing teams, including developing and mentoring risk professionals, and providing strong, proactive leadership
A thought leader with a demonstrated ability to maintain a balance between risk mitigation and operational efficiency
Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Outstanding data analytical skills with the demonstrated ability to turn findings into strategic solutions
Ability to engage and partner with peers, managers, and experienced leaders across multiple risk stripes and lines of business
Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results driven environment
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00Benefits
