Role Overview:
We’re looking for a hands-on, strategic Director of Technology to join our leadership team on-site in either Melbourne, FL or Irving, TX. In this role, you’ll define and drive the technology roadmap, lead teams across cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and security, and collaborate with executives to deliver digital-first insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Leadership

Develop and lead execution of the company’s technology roadmap.

Align technology initiatives with business goals across product, underwriting, claims, and operations.

Provide guidance to executive leadership on emerging technologies and compliance trends.
Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps
-
Oversee architecture and operations of cloud-native platforms in Microsoft Azure.

Drive scalability and resiliency of core systems (policy admin, billing, claims, CRM).

Manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to accelerate software delivery.
Data, Analytics & Security
-
Build robust data platforms supporting underwriting, analytics, and risk assessment.

Advance AI/ML and geospatial capabilities for improved decision-making.

Lead cybersecurity, compliance, and certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NAIC, etc.).
Team & Vendor Leadership

Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing technology team.

Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and technical excellence.

Manage relationships with technology vendors, reinsurers, and insurtech partners.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
-
10 years of technology leadership; 3 years in Director, VP, or CTO-level roles.

Deep experience in P&C or homeowner’s insurance strongly preferred.

Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure and modern insurance platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, BriteCore, or custom systems).
Skills
-
Strong background in agile methodologies, microservices, and API-first architecture.

Executive-level communication and presentation skills.

Expertise in vendor evaluation and ecosystem management.
Preferred
-
Experience launching D2C or embedded insurance products.

Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and insurtech innovations.

Important: This is a full-time on-site role. Candidates must be willing to work in-person at either our Melbourne, FL or Irving, TX office.
