Job Summary | Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Education and Experience | ALA credited Master’s of Library Science or Master’s of History. Two years experience processing digital archival collections, including experience creating metadata descriptions, digital, and care of born-digital materials. One year experience using ArchivesSpace and D-Space or other digital repository or content/asset management system. Working knowledge of new and emerging library services and their application is required. Demonstrated success on project teams consisting of librarians, support staff, and programmer/ developers. |

Essential Duties and Responsibilities | The Digital Archivist position will develop policies, procedures, and standards relating to digitization, digital asset management, and digital preservation. The position is responsible for creating and managing digital materials for the Eugene McDermott Library as well as managing their metadata. The Digital Archivist reports to the Dean of the Library. |
