Job Summary | The Assistant Director of Employer Relations will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing employers to create opportunities for UTD- School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (NSM) students and alumni. The Assistant Director will manage a variety of employer relations activities, including career fairs, info sessions, networking events, and job postings. The Assistant Director will report to the Director of the NSM Career Success Center. |
Minimum Education and Experience | -Bachelor’s degree in related field. -Three plus years relevant professional experience. -Any equivalent combination of education and experience. |

Essential Duties and Responsibilities | Perform employer relation functions; and oversee and supervise staff, including one or more student employees, provide ongoing training and professional development, and manage performance expectations. Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with new and existing employers that recruit students from the academic disciplines located within the School of NSM. Plan and deliver targeted career events (career expos/fairs, info sessions, industry networking events, and other employer engagement opportunities) for NSM students, and assess the outcomes of each event. Manage Handshake job postings, employer contacts, and events. Create and manage the Employer Relations content on the website, including recruiting policies, job postings, events, etc. Manage all Employer Relations events on the NSM Master and Comet Calendars. Collaborate with other UTD career centers and academic departments to create comprehensive outreach strategies and recruitment policies for employers across all disciplines. Prepare and analyze statistical information and reports regarding the employer relations functions. |

Additional Information | Remote Work Statement FOR FUTURE AVAILABILITY – After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in-office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. May be required to use a personal computer and other standard office equipment. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice.
