| Job Summary | The Assistant Director of Undergraduate Research and Experiential Learning provides leadership and day-to-day management for a portfolio of programs designed to connect UT Dallas undergraduates with meaningful research and experiential learning opportunities. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Research, Innovation, and Experiential Learning, the Assistant Director coordinates undergraduate research programs and events, supports students seeking research opportunities, develops partnerships with faculty and campus units, oversees student employees and student leadership teams, and contributes to the development of new initiatives that expand access to undergraduate research and other high-impact learning experiences. The position will play a central role in programs including the Undergraduate Research Scholar Awards, Undergraduate Research Week, Undergraduate Research Match Day, the Patti Henry Pinch Scholarship for Undergraduate Research, the Provost’s Award for Faculty Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring, and other undergraduate research initiatives. The successful candidate will be an organized and collaborative individual who enjoys working directly with students and faculty, can manage several complex projects simultaneously, and is interested in helping UT Dallas strengthen its culture of undergraduate research and experiential learning. |
| Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree in related field and three plus years relevant professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. |

| Additional Information | Remote Work Notice: After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
