| Job Summary | Job Summary The Head Dance Coach manages all facets of team activities. Responsible for developing and administering a highly competitive dance program. Executes choreography of routines and assures performer readiness. Occasional travel with UTD Athletics programs to provide further coverage. Employee agrees to abide by the Code of Ethics as set forth by the University of Texas at Dallas and the University of Texas System; Complies with all State and University policies; other duties as assigned by Director of Athletics. |
| Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelor’s Degree; previous coaching experience, preferably at a college level; knowledge and commitment to NCAA Division II rules. Two years coaching experience. |
| Preferred Education and Experience | Preferred Education and Experience Three to five years successful coaching experience, expertise in technical aspects of dance in respect to national rules and regulations, safety guidelines and maintain a USA Cheer Certification. |
| Other Qualifications | To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. |

| Physical Demands and Working Conditions | Physical Demands and Working Conditions Expected to work extended hours, early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays during athletic seasons. Must be able to travel on a bus or in vans for an extended period of time and must be able to stand outside for a long period of time. Must be able to work on a team and adjust to schedules that may change. Must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver license within six months of hire and have an acceptable driving record. |

| Additional Information | Must possess and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record at the time of hire. Remote Work Notice: This role may be eligible for a remote or hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
