| Job Summary | Under the direction of the Director of the Cleanroom Research Laboratory, the Process Engineer will develop and facilitate various thin-film process development/flows and device fabrication, train, and support users in the UTD Cleanroom Research Laboratory. The Process Engineer will work with other cleanroom staff to support the daily operation and maintenance of the laboratory. The candidate will be responsible for supporting and troubleshooting equipment and process issues related to plasma etch, CVD tools, atmospheric furnaces, other thin-film deposition process tools as needed, and various thin-film characterization tools. The candidate will also be assisting in interactions with faculty, students, and staff to identify cleanroom capability requirements to support ongoing and future research projects. |
| Minimum Education and Experience | Master’s degree (Doctorate degree preferred) in engineering or the natural sciences and 6 months of related work experience. Hands-on experience as part of Graduate research is acceptable. |
| Preferred Education and Experience | Preferred education: Doctorate in engineering or the natural sciences and 4+ years of relevant experience. Required Skills:
