Job Summary

The Senior Manager for the UT Dallas Latin America Office serves as the university’s primary representative in the region, responsible for advancing institutional partnerships, supporting strategic international enrollment initiatives, and enhancing student engagement across Latin America. This role is designed for an experienced higher education professional with direct experience working with universities in the United States or with institutions that have strong knowledge of the U.S. higher education system.

The Senior Manager engages prospective students, families, secondary schools, universities, counselors, and other educational partners to support UT Dallas’s international enrollment and expansion efforts. Working closely with UT Dallas admissions, academic units, and International Center staff, the role advances enrollment strategy and institutional priorities, represents the university at targeted events, and contributes to the development of institutional partnerships.

A key responsibility of this position is to support enrollment yield through sustained engagement with admitted students. This includes responding to inquiries, facilitating pre-arrival advising and communications, and supporting events and initiatives that help students successfully transition from admission to enrollment

The Senior Manager will also strengthen relationships with UT Dallas alumni in the region and identify opportunities for alumni engagement in student outreach and recruitment activities. Regular visits to the UT Dallas campus are expected to maintain a strong understanding of institutional priorities, academic offerings, and the student experience.

Given the independent nature of this role, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong professional judgment, self-direction, and the ability to manage relationships, events, and communications with minimal day-to-day supervision. This role requires confidence in representing UT Dallas publicly and the ability to build long-term relationships that advance the university’s visibility, enrollment, and student success in Latin America.

This full-time position is based in Mexico City, Mexico, via contract with Safeguard Global, and includes regional and international travel. Responsibilities also include office and project management, periodic facilitation of seminars and workshops, and presentations at conferences and programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Six (6) years of experience in higher education admissions, international recruitment, or university partnership development (with direct experience in student lifecycle support from prospect status through enrollment and transition).
  • Demonstrated experience working with an accredited college/university (not exclusively through third-party recruitment agencies)
  • One (1) year of office management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field, plus 4 years of academic and administrative experience in higher education, specifically in traditional university settings, preferably in the United States or Mexico.
  • Experience collaborating with university admissions, academic departments, or international offices
  • Experience developing or managing institutional partnerships (e.g., articulation or dual degree agreements, exchange programs, sponsored cohorts)
  • Experience studying, living, and/or working internationally.
  • Experience in an outreach role, as the main representative/point of contact to external audiences, ability to demonstrate judgment, and be comfortable in a public-facing role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with office and project management.
  • Contract management experience.
  • Responsible, self-disciplined, and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Broad knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and social media platforms. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, access, and inclusion.
  • Knowledge of UT Dallas through previous direct experience (as a student, alums, faculty, or UT Dallas community member).
  • Ability to represent UT Dallas through Safeguard Global in a professional and ethical manner.

To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Institutional Partnership Development
  • Identify, develop, and manage relationships with universities, government bodies, and educational organizations
  • Support development of academic collaborations and partnerships (e.g., articulation and dual degree agreements, pathway partnerships, exchange programs, research connections)
  • Collaborate closely with UT Dallas admissions, academic units, and international programs to ensure alignment with institutional priorities
Student Engagement and Enrollment Strategy
  • Engage academic stakeholders, school counselors, and university partners to advance UT Dallas enrollment and partnership goals.
  • Support and coordinate regional enrollment and recruitment initiatives in alignment with UT Dallas admissions policies and student readiness expectations
  • Research and initiate contact with potential feeder schools and universities, develop long-term relationships and partnerships that advance UT Dallas institutional visibility and academic engagement.
  • Seek out and connect with partner campus student groups, campus organizations, and community organizations.
Promotion
  • Conduct targeted visits to secondary schools, universities, and government or institutional partners to build sustained academic relationships.
  • Represent UT Dallas by participating selectively at university and college fairs, conferences, symposia, and industry events which increase brand visibility, awareness, and impact
  • Track, monitor, and support the production and distribution of outreach materials and information. Ensure correct brand usage and advanced approval of all materials.
Serve as Point of Contact
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Latin America region with UT Dallas alums and organize events that bring prospective students in front of volunteering alums.
  • Develop relationships with prospective students and families, faculty and campus organizations, and alums networks.
  • Maintain contact with current and prospective partner schools and institutions.
Institutional Support
  • Represent UT Dallas from a pre-determined office space, and assist in securing and preparing any further space needed for future programming
  • Assist UT-Dallas faculty and administration during pre and post-admission yield events as well as partnership delegation visits.
  • Assist with regular communications to new and existing partners and prospective student audiences.
  • Work on digital outreach efforts.
  • Work with UT Dallas lead-management system Salesforce to maintain lead flow, analyze communication data, and help strategize outreach efforts based on system knowledge.
  • Visit UTD at least once a year to engage with stakeholders and learn about UTD’s culture and best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
