| Job Summary | Job Summary The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for the development and management of individual and group strength training programs for student-athletes participating in the NCAA intercollegiate athletics program under the supervision of the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Responsible for program design and implementation of assigned sports, assist with remaining sports, and assist with maintaining weight room area including health and safety standards. Work closely with coaches to develop team and individual programs based on the latest strength and conditioning techniques. Work closely with the certified athletic trainers to modify training programs to accommodate student-athletes in rehabilitation. |
| Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree. One (1) year of coaching experience or two (2) years playing experience in the designated sport. |
| Preferred Education and Experience | This position is open to candidates with a range of relevant experience, including those with more advanced or specialized skill sets. Compensation will be determined based on education, relevant experience, and skill level. Candidates with additional experience or specialized skills beyond the minimum requirements may be considered for a higher starting salary within the department’s approved hiring parameters. | Physical Demands and Working Conditions | Physical Demands and Working Conditions Expected to work extended hours, early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays during athletic seasons. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs., travel on a bus or in vans for an extended period of time, and must be able to stand on feet outside (if applicable) for a long period of time. Must be able to work on a team, and adjust to schedules that may change. |

| Additional Information | Must possess and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record at the time of hire. Remote Work Notice After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in-office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
