Job Summary
This position will direct the development of a comprehensive program to enhance the Center for BrainHealth’s stewardship activities, resulting in greater communication and engagement between BrainHealth and its donors. Assist in development and execution of multi-year fundraising strategies to support the Center’s long range strategic initiatives. This role will lead and develop approach for key fundraising campaigns to reach established goals and create and manage lead funnels.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related progressive experience.

Preferred Education and Experience
Preferred candidates will have a graduate degree and 7-10+ years of demonstrated success in major gift fundraising within complex, high-performing nonprofit organizations.

To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • This position will direct the development of a comprehensive program to enhance the Center for BrainHealth’s stewardship activities, resulting in greater communication and engagement between BrainHealth and its donors.
  • Assist in development and execution of multi-year fundraising strategies to support the Center’s long range strategic initiatives.
  • This role will lead and develop approach for key fundraising campaigns to reach established goals and create and manage lead funnels.
  • Leads development of annual report, endowment, and impact reports to key donors.
  • Work closely with the Events team to oversee execution of 100+ attendees at annual events both in-house and at outside venues, with the assistance of 50+ staff and numerous contracted vendors, coordinating planning, marketing, invitations, hosting, and event oversight and follow-up. Post-event meetings and review.
  • Drives partnership with UTD
  • Development team to ensure optimal collaboration and support.
  • Oversee donor stewardship. Database management. Outreach. Event coordination.
  • Develop and introduce new programs.
  • Follow through on successes and improvements.
  • Work intimately with Chief Director, Assistant Director of Marketing, and AVP for Marketing to iterate on, and help oversee development plan.
  • Effectively build relationships with a wide array of constituents to grow annual fundraising, planned giving program, corporate and foundation giving, and special events.
  • Optimizes the Board through close relationship with Board leaders and nomination process to support the needs of the organization.
  • Work with Board of Advisors to maximize the Boards involvement with time and attention to the Center’s growth and forward development.
  • Represents Center for BrainHealth in the DFW area to enhance reputation.
  • Manages and oversees the philanthropy team and provides clear direction to implement key initiatives.
  • Oversees the reporting and accounting processes to ensure accurate accounting of donations.

Additional Information
Hybrid remote work environment available and a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement is required upon employment. Use of personal computer and other standard office equipment may be required. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice.
