| Job Summary | This position is responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing peer mentoring and undergraduate research student engagement programs to ensure that the Office of Undergraduate Education’s (OUE) peer mentoring and undergraduate research programs are managed in an efficient and effective manner, with the goal of increased student sense of belonging, success, retention, and various other academic outcomes. Position reports to the Senior Director of Undergraduate Programs in the Office of Undergraduate Education. About the Freshman and Transfer Mentor Programs

| Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree in related field and three plus years relevant professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. |
| Preferred Education and Experience | Master’s degree in related area from an accredited university preferred, with five or more years of relevant experience working with student and programs in higher education, or related community programs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with how to assess and achieve higher education desired student outcomes through policy and data analysis (i.e. retention, etc.). Working with undergraduate student populations and specific sub-populations. Supporting undergraduate research programs in higher education. Supporting peer mentoring programs in higher education |
| Other Qualifications | To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. |
