| Job Summary | The Associate Director is a key leader within the Student Success Center (SSC), providing strategic oversight for non-STEM academic support programs that promote undergraduate student success, persistence, and degree completion at UT Dallas. This role combines leadership, program innovation, and data-informed decision-making to enhance academic support services across campus. The Associate Director supervises professional staff and student leaders, collaborates with faculty and academic partners, and leads initiatives that remove barriers to student success. Responsibilities include overseeing core SSC programs, guiding assessment and long-range planning, and directing a cohesive marketing strategy for SSC services. This position also contributes to policy development within the Office of Undergraduate Education and supports grant-funded and innovative programming to strengthen student outcomes. This role will oversee the following Student Success Center programs: Academic Success Coaching program, the social media/marketing student team, the Communication Lab, Writing Center, Institute of Peer Education, and Success Workshops. The Associate Director will oversee internal operations for the SSC, all outreach and new initiatives the SSC takes on, such as partnerships with Athletics, Fraternity and Sorority Life, First Generation student programming, and specific school (ECS, NSM) tutoring in their spaces. |
| Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 5-7 years related professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. |

This position requires high-quality written and verbal communication skills. This position should possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work with people from different cultures and backgrounds. A successful candidate is a problem solver who can quickly and consistently facilitate solutions. This position is eligible for limited remote work opportunities after training is complete. |

| Additional Information | Remote Notice: After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval. This requires auditing courses, meeting individually with faculty members, recruiting faculty to serve on the Student Success Center Faculty Advisory Board (FAB), and being a constant source of information for our faculty partners. |
