| Job Summary | EPPS Master’s Advisor – School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking an experienced Academic Advisor (Level II or III) to support master’s students in the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences (EPPS). This advanced advising role involves guiding students through their academic journey, including program requirements, course selection, and university policies, while connecting them with resources to enhance their academic and professional development. The position includes in-person and virtual advising, monitoring academic progress, supporting student success initiatives, and opportunities for leadership within the advising team. The ideal candidate has experience in academic advising, counseling, higher education, or related fields and is passionate about helping students achieve their goals in a supportive and dynamic environment. |
| Minimum Education and Experience | Advisor II: Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years related experience; or Master’s degree. OR Advisor III: Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years academic advising, counseling, higher education, social work, human services with students, young adults or adolescents, or related experience. Academic Advisor II Key Responsibilities:
Academic Advisor III Position Information: FLSA Status: Exempt Salary Range: $60,000+, DOQ Academic Advisor III Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years academic advising, counseling, higher education, social work, human services with students, young adults or adolescents, or related experience. OR Master’s and four (4) years of related work experience. Academic Advisor III In addition to the duties outlined in the Academic Advisor II role, the Academic Advisor III is responsible for higher-level advising tasks and activities.
