Job Summary	Provide skills in the area of plumbing, electrical maintenance/repair, carpentry and/or painting.
Minimum Education and Experience	High school diploma or GED equivalent; four years experience in general maintenance duties or trade school; licenses as required. Or an equivalent years of education and/or work experience. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s license and a good clean driving record.
Preferred Education and Experience	A minimum of three or more years in facility maintenance operations or related experience or training in building maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment. Troubleshooting knowledge and skills. Knowledge of and experience with electrical, plumbing, inventory supervision, general building maintenance, and repair skills.
Other Qualifications	To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities	Perform assigned day-to-day repairs and emergency maintenance. Work on building equipment systems – replace filters, inspections and preventative maintenance. Assist with the upkeep of grounds and buildings. Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems. Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures, and replacing bulbs and lamps. Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems. Work independently or as a team member. Conduct minor and major repairs of all buildings and equipment. Perform preventative maintenance procedures on buildings and equipment. Respond to emergencies during scheduled work hours and after hours, including weekends, as needed. Work after-hours, weekends, and on-call duties as assigned. Conduct regular inspections to determine areas that need attention and then perform the tasks. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions	Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must possess at the time of hire and maintain a valid Texas Driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. May be required to report to on-site work location during campus closure. May be required to report to on-site work location during inclement weather.
