Job Summary | Plan, conduct and direct a wide variety of research projects. Responsible for the evaluation and interpretation of research data. Conduct experiments using advanced equipment and applying complex techniques, methods and procedures; plan and execute the details of experiments according to research protocol. We are seeking candidates who can work collaboratively in research teams comprised of individuals of different backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. |
Minimum Education and Experience | Ph.D in a related field. |
Preferred Education and Experience | Ph.D. in psychology, sociology, learning sciences, STEM education, engineering or related field and a minimum of three years research experience in STEM education. This experience must include qualitative data collection and analysis. Time spent in graduate degree programs may count toward the experience requirement. Additionally, evidence of a solid record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals and/or proceedings commensurate with the candidate’s experience level is a must. |
Other Qualifications | To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. |

Additional Information | This job is funded for 1 year with the possibility of renewal. Continued employment is contingent on the availability of funds. Hybrid Remote Work Notice Following successful completion of an initial training period, a hybrid work schedule may be available, subject to business needs and departmental approval. Employees must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be cancelled.
