Job Summary | The WindFluX Laboratory (https://labs.utdallas.edu/windflux/) at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) is seeking a Post-doctoral Researcher with expertise in atmospheric turbulence, marine atmospheric boundary layer (MABL), scanning Doppler wind LiDAR, and sea spray aerosols. Other Qualifications | To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities | The successful candidate will focus on post-processing of LiDAR measurements performed in the MABL, continuing the data collection, and maintenance of the UTD WindFluX mobile LiDAR station. The project involves the use and further development of models for predicting with wind velocity field, turbulence statistics, and the concentration as sea spray aerosols |
