Job Summary | The Assistant Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life- Community Development is a professional staff member in the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life who coordinates a variety of programs and services. The Assistant Director will work directly with the FSL team of three full-time staff members in planning all aspects of the fraternity/sorority experience for the UT Dallas Fraternity & Sorority Community of approximately 1,000 students in twenty-seven organizations and four governing councils (CPC, IFC, MGC, NPHC). The main objective of the Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life is to provide support, resources, and development for students in the FSL community. All staff members are directly involved in student group advising, leadership training and development, assessment, and coordinating services and programs for other defined student populations. An expectation for staff is to advise, counsel, and serve as advocates for students experiencing difficulties or crises. |
Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelors degree and three years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. |

Physical Demands and Working Conditions | Days/M-F: 8am-5pm/Nights and weekends as needed. Work outside of the normal business hours may be required. Work in a dynamic office environment, with frequent interaction with students, staff, and external partners. General office conditions may include standing or sitting for long periods of time and moving or lifting objects if able. Employees, if able, can obtain a valid Texas driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record during employment to drive a UT Dallas-owned vehicle or golf cart. |

Additional Information | Remote Notice: After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
