Job Summary | Are you passionate about helping others succeed and making a meaningful impact on their future careers? As a Career Coach at the University of Texas at Dallas University Career Center, you’ll engage directly with students and alumni through personalized advising, including resume and cover letter revisions, career planning, and interview preparation. This role also involves collaboration with faculty, departments, and teams to create and deliver workshops, events, and presentations that enhance career readiness. As career centers evolve to meet the changing needs of students and the job market, adaptability is key. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that is scaling services to reach a broader audience. This role requires someone who is not only adaptable and accepting of change but also eager to learn and collaborate in a fast-paced environment. Beyond individual appointments, you’ll play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to communicate the value and impact of the career center’s services to the university community. We encourage creativity in finding innovative ways to promote our resources and expand our reach. This position reports to the Associate Director of Career Development. The University Career Center is a key component of the Student Affairs division at UT Dallas. This role reports to the Associate Director of Career Development. The University Career Center is part of the Student Affairs division of UT Dallas. |
Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree and one to three years professional work experience. |
Preferred Education and Experience | Preference will be given to candidates with; Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling, or a closely related discipline. Direct Career Services and career advising experience, as well as experience administering personality and career assessments, is preferred. |

Physical Demands and Working Conditions | Must be willing and able to attend professional development opportunities and events on and off campus. Must possess the willingness and ability to occasionally work an unconventional work schedule that may include some evenings and weekends. Must be able to negotiate stairs and capable of lifting and pulling 10 – 15 pounds. |

Additional Information | Remote Work Notice: After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
