Job Summary | A postdoc position is available for candidates with a strong background in developmental biology, microscopy, metabolic imaging or related fields. The candidate will investigate spatial organization of developing embryos in close collaboration with molecular experimental colleagues, developing and devising a new platform to integrate single cell sequencing data as well as imaging profiles. The Cao Laboratory utilizes and develops cutting-edge single-cell omics, imaging, and microfluidics tools to investigate lineages commitment, cell type evolution, and cell-cell interactions (e.g., Cao et al., Nature 2019; Lemaire et al., Science Advances, 2021; Chen et al., Plos Biology, 2022). Our research aims to elucidate the gene regulatory grammar in embryogenesis and cancer development (please visit https://labs.utdallas.edu/caolab for more details). The Cao Lab is well funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), and the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT).
