- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. – Minimum of 3 years in Health education developing and providing programming.- Equivalent education and/or experience in other health or wellness fields will be considered.

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in health education, wellness programming, or related areas within a higher education setting.

• Familiarity with public health and student development theories, including the Social-Ecological Model, Transtheoretical Model (Stages of Change), SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment), Astin’s Theory of Involvement, and Kolb’s Experiential Learning Theory.
• Understanding and application of Trauma-Informed Care and Strength-Based Approaches.
• Experience with the NASPA Certified Peer Educator Program.
• Proficiency in case management and supervision of student leaders within a higher education context.

• Oversee and manage the Comets CARE initiatives to ensure the effective delivery of coaching, awareness, referrals, and engagement services.
• Recruit, train, support, and assess peer health educators.
• Develop student leadership training using evidence-based frameworks, including the NASPA Certified Peer Educator Program.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate wellness events and activities designed to promote student health and well-being.
• Collaborate with student organizations and leadership groups to co-sponsor activities, events, and coordinate wellness training sessions.
• Actively participate as a member of the Behavioral Assessment and Intervention Team (BAIT), facilitating referrals to peer coaching services.
• Co-chair the Student Affairs Health and Wellness Pod Planning Team, supporting event coordination and fostering opportunities for collaboration across departments.
• Manage budgets for assigned programs and initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Develop and present reports, assessments, and evaluations to measure program impact and guide future planning.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation for all programs and services.
