Job Summary | Lead carpenter role, overseeing all aspects of the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology Operations, Productions, and Technology (OPT) team, including rigging, scenery, staging and operation. Assist with setup, operation and tear down of all Bass School Production Team ran events. Responsible for all venues under the Production Team’s purview including the Theatre, Lecture/Events Hall, Performance Hall and all future venues. Ensure the proper and safe operation of all technical equipment. Provide basic technical support in the areas of lighting, sound, video, special effects as needed. |
Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree in fine art or a related field and one (1) year of experience as a technical theater professional or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. |
Preferred Education and Experience | BA/BFA degree and three years of relevant experience to demonstrate a working knowledge of stage management, stage carpentry, theatrical rigging, lighting, and audio practices. OR MA/MFA degree and relevant experience to demonstrate a working knowledge of stage management, stage carpentry, theatrical rigging, lighting, and audio. Preferred candidate should have:
