| Job Summary | We are seeking a full-time Research Assistant I to join Dr. Benedict Kolber’s team (www.kolberlab.com). This individual will support and contribute to NIH-funded research projects focused on developing novel analgesic drugs. This role will provide technical assistance for various research projects and conduct research activities according to research protocol. Research activities may include some or all of the following: patient recruiting and screening, traditional laboratory experiments & activities, informatics, and/or animal laboratory work. This position blends administrative and research responsibilities, requiring effective communication, reliable organizational skills, and attention to detail. Qualified candidates will demonstrate initiative and adaptability in both independent and collaborative work. Research experience in a laboratory setting is required. Assignments and work evaluation will be received from the professor/grant administrator (Principal Investigator), Dr. Benedict Kolber. *This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week between the hours of 9 AM-5 PM Mon-Fri, although intermittent weekend work may be required (substituted for weekday hours). This is an NIH grant-funded position, and continued employment is contingent on the availability of funds. |
