The Institutional Assessment Specialist will assist with the development and implementation of the assessment of the University’s core curriculum and will provide assessment support for academic degree/certificate programs, academic support units, and administrative units/departments.

In supporting core assessment, the Institutional Assessment Specialist will work with the Director of Academic Assessment and Director of Administrative and Academic Support Assessment to develop/select rubrics and other measures of student learning and will work with the Core Curriculum Committee to coordinate the assessment of student artifacts. In supporting program/unit assessment, the specialist will work with the assessment team to collect and review annual assessment reports for academic degree programs, academic support units, and administrative units and provide assessment assistance.

This position will report to the Director of Academic Assessment and will be part of the assessment team in the Office of Institutional Success and Decision Support (OISDS). The OISDS unit reports to the Associate Vice President for Institutional Success and Decision Support (AVPISDS), who also serves as the institutional liaison to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).

BA/BS degree + 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Remote Work Notice

OISDS staff have the option to work remotely two days per week. As such, this role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, subject to manager approval. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days upon approval. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time. Individuals may be required to use personal computers and other standard office equipment in order to work remotely. The Institutional Assessment Specialist must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus within 24 hours of notice.
