Job Summary | In this exciting position, the Program Manager II will support the JSOM Academic Director of Distance Learning. Key responsibilities include: evaluating and working with faculty for updating distance learning courses, coordinating and implementing JSOM’s distance learning strategy, ensuring online courses use cutting-edge technology and pedagogy, implementing and ensuring that the Jindal Production Standard is being adhered to for all distance learning courses including synchronous and asynchronous. Collaborating with the JSOM Distance Learning team and interfacing with the Educational Technology Services team to ensure seamless processes. This position will also require the individual to stay current with best practices and new technologies and requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and attention to detail as well as seeing the big picture. |
Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree; Five to seven years experience in a field relevant to the program; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. |
Preferred Education and Experience | Preferred Education and Experience Thorough working knowledge of instructional design models, adult learning theory, educational psychology, learning assessment, project management, and distance education. Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience with a learning management system, such as Blackboard or Canvas. Knowledge and proven application of skills in instructional design, adult learning, accessibility, copyright, and best practices in course development. Familiarity with various synchronous and asynchronous, e-Learning tools and their capabilities. |

Employee must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice.
