Job Summary | This position will work with the Associate Director in the International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO) to provide advising, programming and benefits processing in line with J-1 immigration regulations and the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) policies and procedures as an Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO); provide back up support for F-1 benefit services as Designated School Official (DSO). |
Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree and 2 years’ experience working with college students or adolescents or community groups in an advisory, administrative or educational capacity. Must be a U.S Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident to meet USCIS eligibility requirements. |
Preferred Education and Experience | Completion of the free, self-paced online training for DSOs at https://studyinthestates.dhs.gov/2013/10/online-training-designated-school-officials OR prior DSO experience. |

Additional Information | The salary is not negotiable. No relocation assistance is available. Remote Work Notice: After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. May be required to use personal computer and other standard office equipment. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
