Job Summary
The Events Planner for University Events is responsible for the design, execution, and hosting of events. Ensure all proper UTD forms and paperwork are complete according to business standards. Coordinate vendors, auxiliary services, and track expenses.

Minimum Education and Experience

Associate’s Degree. Two – 4 years’ experience providing event coordination or planning.

Preferred Education and Experience
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within planning University events. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Requires good written and verbal communication skills. Academic ceremony coordination experience a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of planning a meeting or special event including developing, planning and implementing. Coordinates and oversees event relationships with auxiliary support. Responsible for all amenities and accommodations at the event as well as ensuring fulfillment of contracts. On-site support of events. Monitors event budgets. Interacts with internal and external constituents.

Physical Demand: Constant handling, feeling, talking and listening. Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reach grasping, balancing and hand-eye coordination. Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching. May also be subject to work in various environmental conditions.
