Job Summary
The Data Analyst manages and analyzes internationalization data within the UT Dallas International Center. This position leads data management efforts that support international student recruitment, achievement, persistence, timely degree completion, and success. Is also responsible for mapping and assessing UT Dallas international activities across faculty journals, conference participation, international partnerships, etc.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Psychology, Data Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics or other related field
  • Three (3) or more years of experience maintaining data compilation, screening, validation and analysis utilizing a variety of software programs and integrating data from multiple institutional and external sources
  • One (1) year experience cleaning and analyzing survey data using statistical software (SAS, R, STATA, SPSS, or an equivalent) and working with online survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, RedCAP)
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Preferred Education and Experience
Master’s Degree in Statistics, Psychology, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Education
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Data Analytics. Responsible for data compilation, screening, validation, and analysis utilizing appropriate software programs and integrating data from multiple institutional and external sources. Creates data products (including dashboards, reports, and automated tools) to support IC departments.
  • Collaboration. Collaborates with IC directors and campus stakeholders on data acquisition, analysis, communication, and documentation.
  • Assessment. Responsible for creating assessment instruments (including surveys, focus groups, and interviews) and collecting data to assess to evaluate international center and institutional effectiveness, as well as student success initiatives.
  • Communication. Prepares presentations, university reports, and other communications including the development of data visualizations and summaries of collected data and analysis to internal and external stakeholders including visiting international delegations, International Center Advisory Board, local community organizations, and others.
  • Reporting. Validate and submit all Open Doors reports to IIE, including International Students, International Scholars, and ad hoc reports (1-2 per year)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Information
After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in-office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. May be required to use a personal computer and other standard office equipment. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
