This position will provide custodial support for The University of Texas at Dallas campus. Duties will involve general cleaning, dusting, vacuuming carpet, picking up trash, responding to emergencies, picking up recycling, delivering custodial supplies and providing custodial support for events. This position involves being a lead custodian overseeing custodial staff and reporting to the supervisor. Ability to read, write, communicate, understand written and verbal instructions in English. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Available to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends if requested.
Minimum Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED with one (1) year of custodial and move related work experience. Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Education and Experience
3-5 years’ experience in Custodial-related work in an educational environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Clean and restock the restrooms, and provide general oversight of assigned custodial staff.
  • Utilize custodial inspection software.
  • Window cleaning and floor cleaning using common industry equipment.
  • Provide custodial support for events on campus.
  • Support custodial staff on all PPE and ensuring safety procedures are used by the staff.
  • Assist in delivering custodial supplies to the buildings on campus. Deliver and pick-up custodial staff and equipment from job sites.
  • Respond to custodial-related emergency calls on campus using the radio.
  • Other duties as assigned.
