Job Summary
The W. B. Hanson Center for Space Sciences at UT Dallas has an opening for a post-doctoral research associate to join its Upper Atmosphere Remote Sensing (UARS) Lab.

We seek a candidate with experience in the development of atmospheric radar systems, particularly with the design and development of digital receivers. In addition to helping with the design and development of receivers, the candidate will also be expected to assist with the development of standard modes for different types of tristatic radar observations, contribute with presentations that will help to disseminate information about the new observational capabilities of IGP/JRO, and participate in activities that create new educational and training opportunities for students.
Minimum Education and Experience

Ph.D in a related field.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or related areas
  • Experience with the design and development of atmospheric radar systems
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The UARS Lab is working with an international team of collaborators to expand the observational capabilities of the Geophysical Institute of Peru’s Jicamarca Radio Observatory (IGP/JRO). The candidate will assist with the development of these new observational capabilities.
