Postdoctoral Fellow – Meloni Group
Conduct research in areas relevant to structural/functional characterization of transmembrane protein transporters that translocate transition metal and metal-based drugs across lipid bilayers. The research associate will also assist me in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students in my group.
|Minimum Education and Experience
Ph.D in a related field.
|Preferred Education and Experience
Ph.D. Biochemistry/Biophysics, with research experience in the expression, purification, and structural/functional characterization of transmembrane metalloproteins. The ideal candidate will have experience with characterization by spectroscopic and SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance) techniques.
|Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, conduct and direct a wide variety of experiments. Responsible for the evaluation and interpretation of research data. Conduct experiments using advanced equipment and applying complex techniques, methods and procedures; plan and execute the details of experiments according to research protocol.
