Job Summary | The Program Manager of Gaming and Esports provides leadership and vision for the esports program, including, but not limited to, recruiting student competitors, mentoring, coaching, and facility management. This position will develop, implement, monitor, and allocate resources related to developing a thriving and inclusive gaming and esports program. Reporting to the Director of the Student Union and Student Life Programs, the Program Manager will lead the development and administration of all programming, recruitment, and competition related to gaming and esports. The Program Manager will assist the Head Coach in developing and implementing a recruitment plan to generate academically talented and diverse applicants who will enroll and retain at UTD. The Program Manager will develop and implement a comprehensive program, including operating a state-of-the-art gaming and esports center that will house over 70 gaming stations for recreational and competitive gaming. Furthermore, the Program Manager will demonstrate excellence with current best practices in gaming and esports, including, but not limited to, recruitment, student engagement, relationship-building with players and stakeholders, and the ability to make strategic decisions. The Program Manager is a member of the Student Union leadership team, which is part of the Division of Student Affairs and is expected to work collaboratively and strategically within and outside the Division of Student Affairs. |
Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree; Three to five years experience in a field relevant to the program; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. |

Additional Information | After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
