Job Summary | This position will design educational content and delivery systems for the BrainHealth Project Initiative at the Center for BrainHealth and Brain Performance Institute. This is a hands-on position that translates scientific neuroscience research into engaging and compelling educational content in a variety of media formats including online articles, videos, infographics, motion graphics, web pages and interactive materials in collaboration other team members. The Learning Experience Designer will develop and implement innovative educational media strategies to help participants adopt brain healthy habits while managing multiple competing priorities and projects. This person will be a very strong writer and communication professional, with proven experience translating information into consumer-friendly educational materials. This person will collaborate closely with various subject matter experts, and with design and creative professionals to package and deliver the content. |
Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, education, communications, information technology, curriculum design or related field; three to five years experience in course design, curriculum design or e-learning, preferably in higher education; experience with graphic and multimedia authoring software and Web site design software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
Preferred Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree in Learning Design, User Experience Design, Communications Arts or a related field and 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities | • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) and source materials to develop interactive and engaging online development experiences and learning interactions. • Use appropriate tools and technologies to produce scalable and dynamic learning materials and interactions. • Measure impact and quickly revise content/modality to address specific feedback, as needed. • Maintain and continually expand skill in new learning approaches, technologies and tools through ongoing research and experimentation. • Develop and deliver eLearning best practices, content templates and technology innovations. • Execute content strategy through media selection, messaging, audience identification and intended learning outcomes • Maintain effective, cohesive, and engaging brand messaging • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, infographics, video and HTML, etc.,) that builds meaningful connections and encourages clients and participants to adopt brain healthy habits • Write, develop, and strategize online content production and scheduling • Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively improve future learning outcomes • Manage content in a Learning Management System (LMS) and CMS • Other duties as assigned |
