This is a senior-level IT Project Manager position responsible for leading medium-to-large technology projects from start to finish. The person will coordinate multiple teams, vendors, stakeholders, and leadership groups to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to scope.
The role heavily is focused on:
- IT infrastructure projects
- Cybersecurity initiatives
- ERP implementations
- Software deployment and release management
- PMO governance and reporting
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Manage IT projects from initiation through completion.
- Lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
- Coordinate internal teams, vendors, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Project Planning & Execution
- Build and maintain detailed project schedules.
- Manage project scope, budget, and timelines.
- Apply project management best practices and governance standards.
- Ensure project deliverables follow HF Sinclair PMO standards.
Financial Management
- Track project budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor spending, accruals, and financial reporting.
- Work with Finance Analysts to validate project costs.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify and manage project risks.
- Escalate issues appropriately.
- Develop contingency plans.
- Drive resolution of project roadblocks.
Communication & Reporting
- Prepare weekly project status reports.
- Create executive PowerPoint presentations.
- Present health indicators, accomplishments, risks, and upcoming milestones.
- Keep business leaders informed of project progress.
Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and system integrators.
- Ensure vendors meet contractual deliverables and timelines.
- Review SOWs, invoicing, and delivery commitments.
Must-Have Experience
Project Management
- 5-7+ years of IT Project Management experience.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
Technical Project Experience
Must have experience with at least one of:
- ERP implementations
- Software implementation projects
- Software release management
- Cybersecurity projects
- Infrastructure projects
- GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) projects
Methodology & PMO
- Strong understanding of project management principles.
- Experience with project governance.
- Risk, issue, and change management experience.
- Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
Tools
- Microsoft Project (Intermediate to Advanced).
- PowerPoint reporting and executive presentations.
Preferred Experience
- Cybersecurity program/project management.
- Infrastructure project management.
- Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) initiatives.
- Enterprise IT environments.
Required Certifications & Education
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- PMP Certification

- Master's Degree
