The Judge Group is currently seeking a Data Strategy Consultant to support a large consulting firm supporting a Utility customer. This is a w2 only position, no third parties.

What You Will Do
- Support clients in developing enterprise data strategies, roadmaps, and transformation initiatives aligned to business priorities and organizational goals.
- Assess current-state data capabilities across people, processes, technology, governance, and data management practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Define future-state data capabilities, operating models, governance frameworks, and actionable implementation roadmaps.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and prioritize high-value data, analytics, and AI use cases.
- Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions to gather requirements, identify pain points, and build alignment around strategic priorities.
- Develop data governance approaches, including decision rights, ownership, stewardship, policies, standards, and data quality practices.
- Translate complex data and technology concepts into clear business recommendations, executive presentations, and decision-making materials.
- Conduct research, benchmarking, and analysis to identify industry trends, leading practices, and emerging data and technology capabilities.
- Support development of business cases, investment priorities, implementation plans, and measures of success for data transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with data architects, engineers, analysts, product teams, and business stakeholders to connect data strategy to execution.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in data strategy, data management, analytics, technology strategy, management consulting, or a related field.
- Experience conducting current-state assessments and developing strategies, roadmaps, recommendations, or transformation plans.
- Strong understanding of data management concepts, including data governance, data quality, metadata, master data, data architecture, and analytics.
- Experience gathering and synthesizing business and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems, analyze complex information, and develop clear, actionable recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing executive-level presentations and communicating with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality client-facing work products in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work onsite in a client environment as required.
What Would Be Nice To Have
- Experience developing data governance frameworks, data operating models, data maturity assessments, or enterprise data strategies.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms, cloud technologies, analytics, artificial intelligence, and emerging data capabilities.
- Experience supporting large-scale data modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience supporting utility or energy-sector clients.
- Relevant data management, cloud, analytics, or consulting certifications.
