Precision Medicine Project Manager (Remote)
Location: 100% Remote (West Coast/Pacific Time Preferred)
Duration: 6-Month Contract with Potential Extension
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Precision Medicine Project Manager to support clinical development programs focused on obesity, metabolic disorders, and cardiovascular disease. This is a highly visible, hands-on role requiring a proactive professional who can independently drive cross-functional initiatives, manage multiple workstreams, and ensure successful execution of precision medicine and biomarker strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biotech, pharmaceutical, clinical development, translational medicine, biomarkers, or precision medicine, along with demonstrated project and program management expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Precision Medicine Leads and Biomarker Leads to develop and execute integrated program strategies.
- Coordinate and manage precision medicine, biomarker, and translational research activities across multiple clinical programs.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and action trackers to ensure successful execution.
- Lead cross-functional team meetings, document decisions, track deliverables, and drive accountability.
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures to ensure alignment with program objectives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while escalating critical issues when necessary.
- Serve as the primary operational contact for biomarker-related activities, including biospecimen management, data management, and vendor coordination.
- Support governance meetings, portfolio reviews, technical reviews, and leadership updates.
- Conduct critical path analysis and proactively remove barriers to program success.
- Facilitate collaboration among research, clinical development, translational science, data management, and external partners.
- Ensure projects remain on track regarding scope, budget, quality, and timelines.
- Apply project management best practices and continuously improve team processes and efficiencies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant project management experience; ORMaster's/PhD with 2+ years of relevant project management experience.
- Experience within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or life sciences industries.
- Solid understanding of clinical development, clinical operations, or clinical trial processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Experience driving project execution with minimal oversight.
