Overview

We are seeking an experienced RF Engineer to join the National In-Building Strategy & PMO Team. This position combines advanced In-Building RF engineering expertise, Distributed Antenna System (DAS) design, network optimization, and technical project management to support national wireless infrastructure initiatives. The successful candidate will drive operational efficiencies, review complex RF designs, oversee strategic deployment programs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to enhance network performance across enterprise and venue environments.

Key Responsibilities

RF Engineering & Design

• Review and approve project initiation requests submitted by regional teams.
• Evaluate and approve In-Building Wireless (IBW) and Venue DAS designs to ensure compliance with national standards and strategic objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and design recommendations for LTE, 5G NR, DAS, WiFi, and MoCN deployments.
• Collaborate with Ericsson, Samsung, and approved DAS OEM vendors to review designs and stay current on evolving technologies and solutions.
• Support the development of standardized design guidelines, engineering documentation, and best practices.
• Present technical analyses, findings, and recommendations to engineering teams and leadership.

Network Performance & Operational Excellence

• Analyze network KPIs using tools such as VPT, xLPT, and other performance platforms.
• Recommend design improvements to optimize network coverage, capacity, and operational efficiency.
• Support WiFi offload initiatives in enterprise buildings and large venues through KPI analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
• Leverage automation and Generative AI tools to streamline engineering workflows and improve team productivity.
• Assist with budgeting activities and capital planning initiatives.

Strategic Program & Project Management

• Lead execution of complex, multi-site wireless infrastructure projects and national rollout programs.
• Manage commercialization efforts for new wireless technologies and solutions.
• Coordinate with internal organizations including PMO, Real Estate, Network Engineering, and business partners to remove project roadblocks.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop and deliver executive-level presentations, budget reviews, strategic roadmaps, and program status updates.

Knowledge Management

• Organize technical forums and training sessions to promote knowledge sharing and standardization across regional engineering teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of best practices nationwide.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in In-Building RF Design and Optimization.
• 3+ years of technical project management experience.
• iBwave Level 3 Certification (recently expired certification may be considered) or Recent hands-on experience on iBwave is considered.
• Strong expertise in LTE and 5G NR network design and optimization.
• Experience with wireless network equipment from Ericsson and Samsung.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Advanced experience with Atoll RF planning and prediction modeling.
• Strong background in network KPI analysis and performance optimization.
• Experience selecting antenna and radio solutions for coverage and capacity requirements.
• Data analytics, automation, and reporting experience.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI platforms such as NotebookLM and Claude.
• Strong understanding of DAS architecture, venue deployments, and enterprise wireless solutions.
