Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Summary

The Associate Patient Care Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for patients and clinic staff, providing administrative and customer service support within a busy healthcare environment. This position is responsible for managing inbound patient calls, documenting patient concerns accurately in the medical record, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and supporting daily clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and manage inbound patient calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Accurately document patient information and call details within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Route messages and patient concerns to the appropriate department, provider, or clinical staff.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Prepare and review patient charts prior to appointments.
  • Make appointment reminder and confirmation calls.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and demographics.
  • Provide excellent customer service while assisting patients with inquiries and concerns.
  • Support front-office and administrative functions as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous customer service or administrative experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills and data entry experience.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when documenting patient information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a medical office, clinic, physician practice, or healthcare call center.
  • Experience with appointment scheduling and insurance verification.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, NextGen, Athena, eClinicalWorks, etc.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

  • In-person panel interview with 2-3 interviewers
