Position: Sourcing Specialist
Location: Houston, TX (Remote)
Duration: 6+ months

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, generation, or a related corporate environment.
• Strong experience with supplier negotiations, purchasing processes, and purchase order management.
• Experience using Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and Word.
• Experience working with SAP or another ERP system.
• At least 1 year of SAP application experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate supplier performance, purchasing costs, market intelligence, and spend data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, and time-management capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize and independently manage multiple purchasing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree. Associate degrees, technical degrees, and relevant certifications may also receive consideration.
• Previous supply management or procurement experience within the power generation, electricity, utilities, or broader energy industry.
• Working knowledge of:
• Strategic sourcing and category management
• Supplier and contract negotiations
• Contract administration
• Inventory management
• Forecasting and demand fulfillment
• Cost and spend analysis
• Financial reports and budgeting
• Business law and the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC)
• Supplier performance management and KPIs
